I am a graduate of English Philology at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. I have also completed postgraduate studies in Public Relations and MBA studies at Poznan Academy of Economics.
I have always worked as a teacher of English. In the years 1986-89 I worked in a secondary school in Poznan. Since 1989 I have been working as a teacher of English in the department of Foreign Languages at Poznan University of Technology (Politechnika Poznańska). I teach students ESP and English using computer programs. I give lectures in Interpersonal Communication and Intercultural Communication. These are optional courses for Information Technology students. Lectures are delivered in English.
I am currently Head of the Department of Foreign Languages at PUT. Over 50 academic and administrative staff work in my department. I am a sworn interpreter and translator at the Court in Poznan. Currently I am working on a PhD proposal on the teaching ESP at Polish Universities of Technology.
I am interested in meeting people. I like travelling, visiting new cities and countries. I am an optimist, almost always happy and ready to help people. I like being with friends. Honesty and sincerity are the most important features I look for when I meet new friends. My hobbies are: reading books (biographies), listening to music , travelling and swimming. In my spare time I like translating books. I have translated two: by Chris Morgan and Barbara Cartland.
I decided to take the position of ELT M SIG coordinator in November 2000. My interests include such topics as : motivation, communication in groups, cross-cultural communication, leadership, negotiation and power. Workshops and seminars will be organised with specialists from different fields of study.
