CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS

Nepal English Language Teachers’ Association (NELTA) is organising its 15th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE on 19-21 February 2010 (3 days) in Kathmandu and on 24 -25 February 2010 (2 days) in Surkhet. The Conference is a professional get together of a large number of ELT practitioners, methodologists, textbooks/material writers and teacher trainers from all parts of Nepal and abroad. The participants at the Conference are usually ELT practitioners from public as well as private educational organisations and from all levels of education - primary to university.

The theme of the FIFTEENTH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE is:

English in Diversity

The presentations are expected to touch upon the issues related innovation in the ELT with a particular focus on English in diversity. The presentations may be research-based, experience based, arguments or opinions. While we are open to presentations in any area of English language teaching, however, the following areas are the key focus:

Key Speakers:

1. David Graddol, UK

2. Numa Markee, USA

Conference Venue in Kathmandu: Little Angels School, Hattiban, Lalitpur, Kathmandu.

Conference Venue in Surkhet:  Surkhet Education Campus, Surkhet.

The Conference will organise plenary sessions, talks/papers, workshops, poster presentations, etc. Exhibitions of ELT materials and books will also be organized.
