Dear Lublin Conference Participants,

Once again, let me express my thanks to all of you for coming to Lublin to attend the 23rd IATEFL Poland Conference. It was a real pleasure to host you here. The U.S. Department of State announces the launch of Shaping the Way We Teach English, a massive open online course (MOOC) for English as foreign language (EFL) educators. The ten-week university-level course was developed by the University of Oregon and is currently available on the Coursera platform.

I would like to draw your attention to an online conference on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th March 2014 devoted to the topic of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). The aim of the conference is to provide  comprehensive information on the developments that have taken place since the official publication of the CEFR in 2001,  on the present situation with regard to the many facets of this important document and on how the CEFR will be developing in the coming years.
